The Sainsbury's Credit Card is one of the most unique financial products that you will find in the United Kingdom. You can tie it with your Nectar card, which is an innovative UK-based shopping rewards program that earns you points towards gifts and incentives on everything that you buy. If you have a Nectar card, you can apply for the Sainsbury's Credit Card using that information, and of course every time you use your Sainsbury's card you will earn points on your Nectar account.
Aside from this, the standard features are still very attractive. The APR is indeed an average amount, which is not necessarily easy to find these days. However, this APR does not apply until after the first year because upon approval you can take advantage of introductory rates as low as 0% on both Sainsbury's shopping and standard purchases. In order to maintain these rates, though, you need to keep your account current every month.
Credit customers who are interested in a card with balance transfer options will also like the Sainsbury's Credit Card. For the first twelve months you can get an introductory rate that is as low as 0% if you qualify. This will allow you consolidate your existing credit card balances under one rate that is probably much lower than any of your other cards. You can take advantage of the full year at this rate and pay off your balances, improving the state of your credit. Keep in mind, though, that there is a very small balance transfer fee if you choose to use this feature.
Of course, you want a credit card because it is convenient, and that is another proprietary feature of the Sainsbury's Credit Card. You can apply for your account online and manage it through the internet as well. If you have any issues that are not pressing, this is the best avenue to solve it since customer service is not available 24/7. Of course, you can always send an e-mail too if you just have a simple question.
