If you live in the United Kingdom and have credit that is fair or better, you can take advantage of the benefits provided by the BT Retail Credit Card. There are many ways that they can do this for you. First of all, you can enjoy introductory interest rates as low as 0% balance transfers and money transfers for six months. The same rate also applies to petrol and supermarket purchases for 10 months. Of course, this supermarket and petrol stipulation only applies to those in the United Kingdom.
After the end of the introductory periods, the typical variable interest rate is still not that bad, so you could save money that way. With no annual fee, though, this card could ultimately save you even more in the long run. However, you should keep in mind that a 2% handling fee will apply to transfer activity.
This card is also convenient because it has a streamlined online banking option that lets you work your account the way that you see fit. If you like to access your information constantly, you will find that is easy to do so online. This also makes it more convenient to monitor fraud or questionable charges. Of course, with customer service available via 24 hour helpline, you can report any issues you may have or get your questions answered quickly.
As is usually the case with MBNA bank, you can also save money by planning your payments accordingly. For example, if you consistently make your payments on time and can pay your balance off in full every month, you can avoid paying interest for 50 days on any new purchase. Basically, if your BT Credit Card has no balance you can pay off a new purchase within 7 weeks and no interest will be charged.
