The Caxton Global Traveller Card is a travel prepaid card for frequent travelers. It is suitable for business or pleasure travel.
The card offers several benefits to potential applicants with the most prominent been an opportunity to obtain substantial savings on the exchange rate. Other benefits include online banking, worldwide acceptance and zero bank charges. Compared to the average credit card, cardholders save money from otherwise paid interest and foreign transaction fees. It also grants rigidity allowing cardholders stick to a spending budget.
The card comes on the MasterCard network accepted by over 20 million retailers worldwide. The card also supports ATMs withdrawals at machines displaying the MasterCard logo.
Applicants do not incur an application fee provided a minimum £10 is loaded onto the card. There is no monthly service charge, or, transaction fees. Cardholders can add funds at no extra cost, by debit or credit card, SMS, and over the phone. A $3 card cancellation fee is in place, and it costs $10 to replace a lost or stolen card.
Once in use cardholders can check the card balance online, and choose to hold card balance in dollar, euro, or pounds currency. Additional benefits such as global assistance (customer support), and emergency card replacement (for a fee) are available.
Cardholders may also receive discount benefits when purchasing from service providers like Mandarin Oriental, New York Resorthoppa transfers, Lonely Planet guidebooks, Madame Tussauds, Planet Hollywood.
The Caxton Global Traveller Card is designed as a handy replacement to travelers checks. As a prepaid travel card you no longer have to go through the hassles that accompany travel checks. The card is accepted by retailers who accept MasterCard debit cards so you can spend just like with a normal credit or debit card. Applicants must be aged over 18 years and provide a valid identification to gain acceptance. Once accepted the card is shipped and activation is done online or by phone. You then go on to load funds through a preferred means.
