British Airways American Express Credit Card is the ideal travel rewards card dedicated to individuals who travel frequently and those who would like to cut down travel expenses with British Airways. Card members receive the full benefits of a card in this category with numerous features coming from British Airways and American Express. Interested individuals are required to have good or excellent credit rating and a solid history.
Although there is no introductory APR period, card members enjoy steady interest rates on purchases. Balance transfers and cash advances also incur interest rates as described in the card agreement. Balance transfers and cash advance transactions incur a 3% transaction fee. Transactions in a foreign currency incur a 2.73% fee on the amount involved.
There is no annual fee.
On the card rewards program, card members earn one British Airways mile per £1 spent on eligible transactions. Newly accepted members receive 1,000 bonus BA miles on the first purchase. Older members can claim 2,000 bonus BA miles by introducing a friend. Card members may redeem miles earned for free and discounted travel on British Airways flights. Members who earn up to 20,000 within a year will receive a second companion ticket when they redeem miles for the first ticket.
Additional benefits include online account management through which card members are updated on the card balance, charges, balance transfers, cash advances, and miles earned. Online statements containing this information are uploaded to the website from time to time. For record purposes, a member may order to receive a second statement (the first is sent at no extra cost) for a £5.00 fee. Card members wishing to give friends and family a feel of this card could do so by giving these individuals an additional card at no extra cost.
